How do you get the most out of Postuby?

From building your brand to scheduling auto-posts, replying to comments, and reading analytics — everything you need to know.

Getting Started

Setting up Postuby from scratch and publishing your first post takes 5-10 minutes.

How do I sign up for Postuby?

Three options:

  • Email + password (postuby.com → "Try Free")
  • Google one-click sign-up
  • Facebook one-click sign-up (your social account is bound automatically — no separate connect step)

You get a 7-day free trial on signup — no credit card required. After trial you can either continue at Free plan limits or pick a paid plan.

I just signed up — what should I do first?

The onboarding wizard walks you through three steps:

  1. Create a brand — name, industry, voice (professional/friendly/bold), logo, primary and secondary colors. These inputs feed every AI generation; the more detail you provide, the more on-brand the output.
  2. Connect your social accounts — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok via OAuth.
  3. Generate your first plan — open the Content Plan Wizard and create a 7- or 30-day automated plan.
I skipped onboarding — can I go back?

Yes. The dashboard shows missing steps as banners or empty-state cards ("No brand yet", "No connected accounts"). One click takes you to the relevant page.

To create a brand: left menu → BrandsNew Brand.

Can I use Postuby on mobile?

Yes. Postuby is fully browser-based and works smoothly in mobile browsers (Safari, Chrome). All core features (assistant chat, calendar, plan approval, comment replies) are mobile-optimized.

There's also a Story Camera mobile feature — design Story-format content directly from your phone.

Can I try without signing up?

For demos check out the live previews on Home, Features, and Comparisons pages. Real generation requires signup, but the 7-day trial covers all features and asks for no card. Cancel anytime in one click if it's not for you.

Brands & Accounts

Set up your brand right and AI generates everything against it. Connecting socials is OAuth — seconds.

What information does brand creation ask for?

The brand creation form collects:

  • Name & description — your brand's story, values, what you do
  • Industry — restaurant, e-commerce, salon, agency, clinic, etc.
  • Voice — Professional / Friendly / Bold / Playful (AI writes in this tone)
  • Logo — upload PNG/JPG. AI auto-places it on visuals (9 position presets, opacity control)
  • Primary & secondary color — hex code or color picker. Applied to visuals and templates
  • Website — AI can pull context (homepage/products) from this URL
  • Target audience — age, interests, purchase motivation

Be detailed — every field you fill is fed into the prompt.

Can I manage multiple brands?

Yes, depending on your plan:

  • Free / Trial: 1 brand
  • Starter: 2 brands
  • Professional: 3 brands
  • Agency: 5 to 10+ brands (varies by plan tier)

The brand switcher in the top menu lets you jump between them in seconds. Each brand has its own social accounts, plans, calendar, and comment streams.

Which social platforms are supported?

Fully integrated:

  • Instagram — Business or Creator account (Personal isn't allowed by Meta API). Feed, Reels, Story publishing + comment/DM management
  • Facebook — Business Page. Feed, Reels, Story + comment/Messenger
  • LinkedIn — Company page or personal profile. Posts + DM
  • TikTok — Creator account. Video publishing + comments (production approval pending, sandbox active)

Infrastructure ready, in development: X (Twitter), YouTube, Pinterest.

How does connecting a social account work? Is it safe?

OAuth flow: When you click "Connect" you're redirected to the platform's official login. You enter your username/password directly with the platform, never with Postuby. Postuby only receives an access token scoped to the permissions you grant (publish posts, read comments, etc.).

Your passwords are never stored in our system. You can revoke the connection any time from Settings → Connected Accounts (the token is invalidated).

When tokens expire Postuby auto-warns you and reconnects with one click.

How many social accounts can I connect to a single brand?

Practically unlimited — for example you can attach 3 Instagram accounts, 2 Facebook pages, 1 LinkedIn, and 1 TikTok to a single brand. Agencies typically create one brand per client and connect all of that client's accounts under it.

Limits are enforced through quota (publishing volume), not account count.

What happens if I delete a brand or a connected account?

If a brand is deleted: all of its plans, generated content, calendar entries, and connected social account references are deleted. This action is irreversible.

If you only remove one social account: only that platform's token is removed; the brand's other data stays. Posts scheduled for that platform but not yet published move to a "no channel" state.

AI Content Generation

Postuby generates visuals, videos, headlines, and hashtags in your brand voice — one at a time or in bulk.

What content types can I generate?
  • Static visual — Feed post (1:1, 4:5), Story (9:16), banner (16:9)
  • Carousel — Multi-slide post (2-10 slides). With "Carousel Plan" you can split a topic into N slides
  • Reels / TikTok video — Script + scenes + optional AI voiceover
  • Caption (headline & body) — On-brand post copy
  • Hashtags — Industry- and language-specific trending sets
  • Story — Snap-format visuals with sticker recommendations
Which AI models do you use?

For visuals: OpenAI gpt-image, Google Imagen, Kling AI, and Kie.AI (nano-banana). Which one runs depends on your plan, the chosen quality tier, and the visual type — the system picks automatically.

For text/captions/hashtags: OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini.

For video: VideoLab (scene-based composer) plus optional Veo or Kling video models.

How are generated visuals matched to my brand style?

Your brand's voice, colors, logo, industry, and target audience are auto-injected into every prompt. Even if you don't ask, fake logos are never generated (we have a dedicated guardrail).

For better results:

  • Fill the brand description in detail (voice, visual references)
  • Upload templates (in 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 formats)
  • Upload Style Match photos (reference images)
  • Keep "Strict style" enabled when creating a plan
How many variations can I generate?

For a single post we generate 6 variations in one click — different compositions, color emphasis, and layouts. Pick the one you like; regenerate if needed.

Not enough? The "Regenerate" button on the post detail produces 6 more. Mark variations you don't like as "Negative feedback" and AI will steer away from similar styles in future generations.

What is Carousel Plan?

A special plan type that breaks one topic into N slides. Example: ask for 5 slides on "Social media mistakes" and AI delivers:

  • Slide 1: Cover (hook + question)
  • Slides 2-4: 3 mistakes + how to fix each
  • Slide 5: CTA (save / comment)

You can run K topics × N slides bulk generation in one go (e.g. 5 topics × 4 slides = 20 slides at once).

How does video / Reels generation work?

Two paths:

1. Scene-based composer (VideoLab): describe the topic or script, AI assembles scenes (visual + text overlay + transitions), optionally adds voiceover. Output is 9:16 vertical, 15-60 seconds.

2. Avatar Studio (beta): An AI avatar (face + voice) presents the script. Ideal for product intros, education, short explainers. Camera framing (close-up/medium/wide) is selectable.

Generation takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the model. You're notified when it's ready and can drop it into the calendar to publish.

I'm not happy with the generated quality — what can I do?
  1. Sharpen brand voice — write a more detailed brand description, change voice setting
  2. Upload Style Match photos — add 3-5 reference images so AI learns the visual style
  3. Try a different aspect ratio — 1:1 vs 4:5 give different compositions
  4. Give negative feedback — mark variations you don't like (AI avoids similar)
  5. Regenerate — try another set of 6 variations
  6. Ask the assistant — natural-language tweaks like "make this more energetic", "keep colors vivid" work

AI Assistant

The Postuby assistant understands natural-language commands — just type "draft 3 posts for tomorrow" and it handles the rest.

What can the assistant do?

You give the assistant natural-language commands. Examples:

  • "Draft a motivational post for Monday morning"
  • "Generate 5 different product posts this week and queue them all for Friday"
  • "Rewrite tomorrow's caption — make it shorter"
  • "Create something similar to my best post from last month"
  • "Build a 30-day summer campaign plan"
  • "Summarize my last 50 comments"
  • "Write a Reels script for this trend"

The assistant runs commands step-by-step ("Designing → Writing caption → Adding to calendar"). You see each step live.

Which languages does the assistant speak?

30+ languages supported. Turkish, English, German, Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian first-class. It handles slang, idioms, and abbreviations.

For comment/DM replies: it auto-detects the incoming message's language and responds in the same language. Turkish followers get Turkish; foreign followers get their language.

Can the assistant handle multiple sequential tasks?

Yes. Multi-step commands run in order. Example: "Create one post per product for 5 products, distribute them Mon-Fri, schedule for the highest-engagement hours" runs:

  1. 5 products → 5 separate visuals + captions generated
  2. Best posting hours computed from your historical analytics
  3. 5 posts spread across Monday-Friday
  4. All added to the calendar, awaiting your approval

The assistant narrates each step — you can interrupt or redirect at any point.

Is the assistant slow to respond?

Simple commands (caption rewrite, hashtag suggest) return in seconds. Commands involving image/video generation take 30 seconds to 3 minutes (depends on model and load).

The assistant pane uses polling — the status bar shows "Processing...", "Designing...", "Done" live. You can leave the page, generation continues in the background, and you get a notification when it finishes.

Plan, Calendar & Publish

Generate a plan, view it in the calendar, approve, drag to reschedule, and let it publish on autopilot.

How do I use the Content Plan Wizard?

4-step wizard:

  1. Brand & Channel selection — which brand, which social accounts (multi-select)
  2. Strategy & Brief — number of days (7 or 30), start date, posting cadence (daily / every 3 days / weekly), overall theme/campaign description
  3. Visual Settings — aspect ratio (1:1, 4:5, 9:16), strict style, CTA type, pulling context from your website
  4. Generate — "Generate Plan" button — the system produces all posts in the background (30 seconds to a few minutes); when done you see them in the calendar
What plan types are available?
  • Standard Plan — 7/30 days, mixed single posts / carousels / stories
  • Carousel Plan — K topics × N slides (multi-slide post series)
  • Viral Plan (beta) — Trend angles (hot-take, POV, save-worthy, trend-surfer) for viral-leaning content
  • Special Day Plan — Mother's Day, New Year, Valentine's-style date-anchored campaigns
  • Product Plan — E-commerce catalog-linked product post series
  • UGC / Avatar Plan (beta) — AI avatar + script + voiceover
How do I approve or edit posts in a generated plan?

Once generated, every post starts in "Pending approval". Two paths:

One-by-one: click a post → edit visual, headline, hashtags → "Approve" or "Reject". Approved posts are publish-ready.

Bulk operations: select multiple in the plan list → "Bulk Approve", "Bulk Reject", "Shift Dates", "Change Format", "Regenerate Captions", "Apply Hashtags".

Rejected posts don't publish but stay as references in the plan — you can ask the assistant to "regenerate the rejected ones".

How do I navigate the calendar?

The calendar has three views: Monthly, Weekly, Daily. Use the arrows to move between periods.

Posts are color-coded by platform (Instagram purple, Facebook blue, LinkedIn navy, TikTok black). Reschedule a post by drag-and-drop — or just tell the assistant: "Move Monday's post to Wednesday".

Filter: use the top filter bar to show only one platform, only unapproved posts, or only a specific campaign.

How does autonomous publishing work?

An approved post is picked up by a background job (queue) at its scheduled time and pushed to the platform's official API. It runs while you sleep.

Successful publish: post status flips to "Published", platform link is saved, analytics tracking begins.

Failed publish: the system retries 3 times automatically (15-min interval). After 3 failures the error is logged, you get a notification, and a manual "Retry" button appears.

Can I publish manually (right now)?

Yes. Each post detail has a "Publish Now" button — it goes to the platform within seconds. Scheduled posts also have a "Publish early" option (publish before the scheduled time).

For bulk manual publishing: select multiple posts in the calendar → "Publish Selected Now".

Can I share a plan with a stakeholder?

Yes. On the plan detail there's a "Generate Shareable Link" button — the system mints a secure share_token. With this link (and optional password) your stakeholder / client / manager can view the plan and leave comments without a Postuby account.

Shared viewers can't edit — they're read-only / commenter. Revoke with one click.

Comments & Messages

All your platforms' comments and DMs in one panel — AI suggests, you approve (or hand it fully to AI).

What are the auto-reply modes?
  • Fully Automatic — AI replies directly, no approval. Fast, but everything is on AI.
  • Suggested — AI drafts a reply and proposes; you click "Send" or "Edit". Most-used mode.
  • Hybrid — Simple/standard questions auto-reply; complaints, legal, refunds drop into Suggested mode (won't go out without your approval).

Set the mode in Settings → AI Reply Mode. You can use different modes per brand.

How does AI match my brand voice in replies?

The brand's voice (friendly/professional/bold), description, and past replies are passed to AI as context. Emoji usage, signoff, and salutation style are learned automatically.

For a more precise tone: in Assistant Settings add a "Reply Prompt". Examples: "always end with a smiley", "sign with 'Cheers, [brand]'".

Which platforms' comments / DMs can I manage?

Comments: Instagram (Feed/Reels/Stories), Facebook (post/video), TikTok (video).

DMs: Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger, LinkedIn Messages. WhatsApp Business infrastructure is in place.

Real-time notifications when new comments / DMs arrive — webhook integrations mean no delay.

How are spam, hate, and troll comments handled?

AI moderation runs automatically. Three filter strengths: Soft, Balanced (default), Strict.

Detected hate/troll/profanity comments are silently hidden — they don't appear on your brand's page but aren't deleted from the platform (audit trail kept). Restore one by clicking "Bring back" in the panel.

Negative-signal comments (complaints, bad experiences) are flagged for the team — for manual review.

What does AI do with sales questions like "How much is it?"

When AI catches a sales signal in a public comment (price / product / color / size), it does a two-step response:

  1. Public reply: short, warm, conversation-starter ("Sharing the details over DM 💬")
  2. DM follow-up: detailed product info, price, order link — pulled from your brand's catalog automatically

Public engagement goes up (other followers see "they replied via DM") AND conversion happens.

Analytics & Trend Radar

All your data in one panel, interpreted by AI — and you get the "what to do" answer too.

What metrics do you track?
  • Followers: total, daily new followers, growth rate
  • Engagement: like, comment, share, save rates (engagement rate)
  • Reach: impressions, reach, unique users
  • Conversion: link clicks, web visits, purchases (catalog-linked accounts)
  • Demographics: age, gender, location distribution
  • Content comparison: which post type (image / carousel / reels) performs best

All connected platforms (IG, FB, LinkedIn, TikTok) are unified in one panel.

What does "AI-narrated report" mean?

Instead of raw numbers, AI reads the data and tells you in plain English:

  • "Your Tuesday-evening posts get 38% more engagement — double down on this slot"
  • "Blue-toned visuals get saved 2× more"
  • "#trend-tag is losing momentum, switch to #new-trend"
  • "Reels grow you 5× faster than feed posts — increase Reels share"

Actionable suggestions, not just data dumps.

Can I get reports by email?

Yes. From Settings → Notifications choose daily / weekly / monthly cadence. Reports arrive as PDF in your email — they include all metrics + AI commentary + charts.

You can set up separate report subscriptions for team members (e.g. your client gets a weekly report every Monday).

How does Trend Radar work?

It scans Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube in real time, filtered to your industry:

  • Viral hashtags (volume, growth rate)
  • Audio/sounds gaining momentum
  • Competitors' new posting strategies
  • Trending topics

Classic detection methods take 2-3 days; Postuby catches a trend turning point within 4-6 hours — you ride the wave early.

Each trend card has a "Create a post for this trend" button — one click pre-fills the planning wizard, AI generates content matching your brand.

Subscription & Account

Plans, credits, billing, account management.

How long is the free trial?

7-day free trial. No credit card required. All core features are active in trial; generation limits sit at Free plan level.

After trial:

  • If you don't pick a plan → you drop to Free (limited usage)
  • If you pick a plan → instant full access, billed at month end
What's the difference between plans?

For full comparison see the Pricing page. Summary:

  • Starter — Individuals / small brands. 1-2 brands, baseline limits
  • Professional — Active users / SMBs. Higher limits, advanced features (trend radar, premium models)
  • Agency — Agencies / multi-brand. 5+ brands, unlimited generation, priority support
How do monthly limits / credits work?

Each plan has monthly limits for image, video, and message generation. Each operation (post, reel, assistant command, AI reply) deducts from the relevant bucket.

Limits reset automatically at the start of each month. If you hit a limit:

  • Wait for the next cycle
  • Upgrade — new limits unlock instantly
  • Buy a one-time credit add-on (top-up)

Remaining usage is shown in the dashboard top banner — alerts like "80% used".

How does billing work?

Payments are processed through Stripe. Monthly or annual subscriptions (annual gets a discount).

Auto-charge at the start of each cycle, invoices emailed automatically + Settings → Invoices keeps every past invoice as PDF download.

Card change: Settings → Payment Method → Stripe Customer Portal (self-service).

How do I cancel my subscription? Are refunds available?

Cancel: Settings → Subscription → "Cancel" is one click. After confirmation you keep all features until end of current billing period, then auto-renewal stops.

Refunds: Full refund within 30 days of first purchase if you're not satisfied. Start the process by contacting support.

Can I fully delete my account and data?

Yes — KVKK and GDPR compliant. Settings → Account → "Delete Account". The system sends a confirmation email; on confirm:

  • All personal data (name, email, profile) deleted
  • Brands, plans, generated content deleted
  • Connected social account tokens revoked
  • Removed from backups within 30 days

Alternative: if you've revoked Postuby permission via your social platform and want a separate channel-specific deletion, submit a request via the data deletion instructions page.

Troubleshooting

Common errors and quick fixes.

Instagram / Facebook account won't connect

Likely causes and fixes:

  • Personal account: Instagram requires a Business or Creator account (Personal isn't accepted — Meta API rule). In the Instagram app: "Account Type → Switch to Professional".
  • No Facebook Page: An Instagram Business account must be linked to a Facebook Page. If none, create a Page first and link Instagram to it.
  • Browser blocks popup: If the OAuth window doesn't open, allow popups, or try in private/incognito mode.
  • Third-party cookies disabled: Some browsers restrict Meta's 3rd-party cookies — disable "Block all cookies" in Safari.
Auto-publishing didn't run / publish failed
  • Check post status: must be "Approved". Posts stuck in "Pending approval" or "Rejected" never publish.
  • Token may have expired: if there's a warning under Connected Accounts, reconnect (1-minute task).
  • Platform daily limit: Meta caps posts per day (~25/day for IG). If hit, wait until next day.
  • Visual/video format: some platforms accept specific formats (e.g. IG Reels must be 9:16). Auto-checked at generation time, but old imported content may break.
  • Auto-retry: did the system try 3 times? Detail page shows the error message.
AI visual quality is poor

Usually it's missing brand context:

  1. Add detail to brand description (visual style, reference brands, what to avoid, what to keep)
  2. Upload Style Match photos (3-5 references)
  3. Upload your logo at high resolution (at least 512×512) as PNG
  4. Fill primary/secondary colors with full hex codes
  5. Keep "Strict style" enabled when creating a plan
  6. Higher tiers use stronger models — Pro/Agency see noticeable quality lift
Comment / DM replies aren't working
  • Check reply mode: Fully Automatic or Suggested? In Suggested mode AI drafts may be sitting in the "Pending" queue.
  • Filter rules: if you have a filter like "only reply to questions", non-matching comments stay unanswered.
  • Webhook health: in Connected Accounts, a green checkmark next to a channel means webhook is active. Yellow warning → reconnect.
  • Sensitive message: AI auto-routes complaints/refunds/legal to human approval — find them in the "Sensitive Queue".
What happens when I hit my quota?

A modal pops up during generation: "Your monthly [image/video/message] quota is full". Three options:

  • Wait: auto-resets at end of month
  • Upgrade: one click to a higher plan — new limit unlocks instantly
  • Buy credits: one-time top-up (add-on)

Remaining usage is always visible in the dashboard top-right corner.

I had a payment problem
  • Card declined: may need extra Stripe verification (3D Secure). Re-add the card from Settings → Payment Method.
  • Renewal failed: email warning is sent; if you update the card within 7 days, subscription continues uninterrupted.
  • Invoice/Receipt: download PDF from Settings → Invoices. Auto-emailed at every charge as well.
  • Wrong plan: 30-day full refund window. Contact support.
